Feast: Joe Cussen Celebration
One of the gifts I feel I can give people is to cook for them. Breaking bread with others is truly a spiritual experience. Meals can come for any reason; meeting new people'; celebrating a friend or occasion; or just for fun. Over the past couple of years, I have done meals for colleagues and dear friends who are moving on to other adventures. Although in some ways the dinners are bittersweet, celebrating friendship and a colleagues work is always a wonderful occasion.
Joe is the type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He is committed to giving himself to others and to service to those on the margins. Working with him on Justice Summits or curriculum or doing service together these past ten years has meant a great deal.
So this meal was for you, Joe! A meal hopefully designed to celebrate you.
