Food. Stories. Drinks. Film Reviews. Scripts.

Welcome! Being a writer, cineaphile, and foodie, I wanted a place to bring all of my loves together. Stories and the breaking of bread and sharing of wine are what bring people together. Here are some of my favorite places, recipes, memories, stories, scripts, and film reviews. I hope you enjoy!

Below of descriptions of several original plays I have written including one that opened at the Kirk Theater and Experimental Theater Wing in New York (Always Family). If you are interested in producing the play, please contact me at jeremy.m.lum@gmail.com

Quietly into the Night

After a life of watching her sisters lose their minds, Grandma, now ailing herself, begins to lose control of her memories as her husband is dying, waiting for their estranged daughter to return home.

Taking Sides

In 1989, six Jesuits and two others were massacred at the Central American University in El Salvador. The Jesuits fighting for social justice knew the danger and chose to stay. Inspired by their story, Taking Sides tells the stories of these eight martyrs and the investigation that failed to conclude that anyone was responsible.

Always Family

Co-written by Simmone Yu

One child considering a screw up, the other considered perfect. Neither can navigate the miscommunication and misunderstanding of their Asian first generation parents, leaving all of them to discover that despite their fighting, they will always be family.
